Running Shoes

Run, run, breathe, run, run, breathe, run, huff, puff, run.
There are some people who do this for fun.
I for one would love my body to be
a more efficient machine, but running
is not for me. In high school I jumped track,
threw track, jammed a fiberglass pole into
a metal hole and flew track, but ran track?
No chance. I lightly jogged the warm up lap,
allowed fantastic metabolism
to carry my thin- and fitness, despite
generally enjoying running sports
where other activities are employed:
soccer, Frisbee, lacrosse, football. See I
really don’t need more thinking time at all.
